石座神社にて、奉納舞

先日、桜が美しく咲いてくれました石座神社（いわくらじんじゃ、せきざじんじゃ）にて、生徒たちと共に地唄舞「茶音頭」、またドイツ文化会館ゲーテ・インスティテュートを通して短期滞在されていた歌手フローク・オルバートさんによる「祇園小唄」「わしが在所」の奉納をさせていただきました。

近所で、野外でもありましたので、このたびのことにも関わらず、させていただくことにいたしました。

昨年と同様、支えていただいました石座神社奉賛会の皆様には、誠にありがとうございました。お出ましくださった皆様方にも本当にありがとうございました。

Last weekend when the cherry blossomed so beautifully, we dedicated Jiuta-mai “Cha-ondo” (Rhythm of Tea) at Iwakura Shrine in my studio’s neighborhood.

One of the students was a professional singer Frauke Albert from Hamburg, Germany, who was staying in Kyoto for 3 months as part of the Artist Residency program at Goethe Institute in Kyoto.

Besides dance, she dedicated “Gion Kouta” and “Washi ga zaisho”, both are Kyoto country songs that she studied here for the last couple of months.

Because it was held outside, I decided to hold the dedication, in spite of the current situation.

I am deeply grateful for the Iwakura Shrine Association members who helped the event, and all the neighbors who showed up for the dedication.
