聖興寺にて、千代女忌が無事に終わりました。

昨日、石川県松任市の聖興寺にて開催されました、俳人千代女の２４５回忌が無事に終了いたしました。

お寺の皆さま、わたしの師匠にあたる吉村ゆきその先生はじめ、皆々さまのおかげで、無事に舞を奉納させていただけましたことを、心から感謝申し上げます。

舞は、千代女さんの生涯と、最も有名な「朝顔やつるべとられてもらひ水」を表したものです。

The 245 anniversary of the death of the poet Chiyo was performed at Shokoji Temple in Matto City, Ishikawa Prefecture.

I would like to express my deep gratitude to the people in the temple, my teacher Yukisono sensei and everyone, for this wonderful opportunity of dedicating a dance for the spirit of Chiyo.

The dance depicts her life and her most famous poem, ‘Morning glory, the water bucket covered by it, I had to ask for water.’
