おかげさまで、京都は紫野の「町家スタジオ 伊織」の改修工事がやっと終了し、新しいお稽古場での日本舞踊クラスがはじまりました！
北野天満宮に程近く、大正時代に建てられたこの町家は、当時は西陣織の工場でした。
かつてバッタンコットンと、機織りの音が日がな一日聞こえていたといいます。
もう機織りの音はしませんが、新しい形で、大切な家族や弟子たち、支えてくださる方たちとともに、伝統を紡いでゆけたらと思います。
今日はじめられた方が、どうか長く続けてくださいますように。
Today a new student started Japanese Traditional Dance class at a newly renovated “machiya studio IORI”.
Close to Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, this machiya was built 100 years ago and was a family-managed factory of Nishijin Brocade, a famous weaving brand of Kyoto.
The sounds of weaving used to continue throughout the day.
Although no more weaving sounds are heard, I hope to spin a new thread of tradition, with you, with all my students and my dearest families.
